Gavin Cowan shows speed with Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series at Lancaster
Joining the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series for the weekend, Gavin Cowan unloaded the Rum Runner Racing machine at Lancaster (S.C.) Motor Speedway on Friday afternoon for the Buddy Crook Memorial.
Laying down the quickest lap in his qualifying group, Cowan started on the pole of his heat race until he was penalized for jumping the start. Rolling off 14th in the $12,000-to-win main event, Gavin pulled off early and finished 21st.
Hoping for better luck at Cherokee Speedway (Gaffney, S.C.) on Saturday, Cowan found himself in a last chance qualifier and was unable to make his way to a transfer position.
