Cowan brothers score Top-10 finishes at I-75 Raceway and Screven Motor Speedway with Southern Nationals
Continuing to follow the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals, Gavin and Haiden Cowan invaded I-75 Raceway (Sweetwater, Tenn.) on Tuesday for the fourth round of the tour.
Both making the $7,553-to-win main event, Haiden had an early exit while Gavin drove to a strong fourth-place finish in the 40 lapper.
After dealing with a handful of rainouts, Gavin and Haiden finally returned to the track Sunday afternoon for the postponed Rebel Yell 53 at Screven Motor Speedway (Sylvania, Ga.). With $10,053 on the line, Gavin finished 12th and Haiden scored a Top-10 finish in seventh.
Thursday's Roscoe Smith Classic at Senoia (Ga.) Raceway, Friday's event at East Alabama Motor Speedway (Phenix City, Ala.), and Sunday's show at Swainsboro (Ga.) Raceway were all rained out and postponed to a later date.
Gavin currently sits fourth in the series point standings.
